WHY Environment Matters
A healthy environment is essential for human survival, agricultural stability, and long-term ecological balance. Rapid pollution, deforestation, and climate change are worsening living conditions, especially for low-income communities. Lack of awareness about clean surroundings, sanitation, and eco-friendly practices contributes to growing environmental damage. At Norta Seva Samiti, we believe that protecting the environment is a collective responsibility. By educating communities and promoting sustainable habits, we help safeguard the planet for future generations and encourage people to live in harmony with nature.
WHAT WE DO
Norata Seva Samiti runs several environmental protection initiatives to inspire people toward sustainable living and climate awareness. Our campaigns focus on promoting eco-friendly habits, reducing pollution, and encouraging natural resource conservation. We conduct large-scale tree plantation drives in villages, schools, and public spaces to restore green cover and improve air quality. Communities are educated on the importance of planting and protecting trees through demonstration sessions and interactive workshops. Water conservation is another key area of focus. We conduct awareness sessions on rainwater harvesting, water-saving habits, efficient irrigation practices, and protecting local water bodies. Our sanitation drives involve cleaning public spaces, promoting waste segregation, and educating people on recycling and proper waste disposal methods.
Through climate action workshops, we teach communities about global warming, energy conservation, sustainable farming, and the long-term effects of environmental neglect. School-based environment clubs are encouraged to help children take leadership roles in environmental protection. We also organize awareness campaigns on eco-friendly household practices, plastic reduction, home gardening, and the use of renewable resources. Community rallies, street plays, and eco-friendly celebrations help spread the message to larger audiences. By building community participation and environmental responsibility, Norta Seva Samiti aims to create cleaner, greener, and more climate-resilient localities.
